01 Who we are
Federal Industrial Corporation (SEFCO), located at 8 El Farouk Omar St, Qubaa City, Gesr El Suez, Cairo, Egypt, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website, within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Law issued by Law No. 151 of 2020.
This policy applies to this website and to the requests sent through it. It does not apply to other websites that we link to.
02 The data we collect
We do not ask for, and do not need, any sensitive data such as health, financial or religious information. Please do not write such information in the notes field.
03 Why we use it
- To answer your request and contact you about it.
- To book the site survey and prepare the technical and financial offer.
- To perform the contract if one is signed, including maintenance and emergency service.
- To protect the website from misuse and spam (this is why the IP address is recorded).
We will not use your data for any other purpose that does not match these purposes without your prior consent. We do not send marketing messages by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
04 Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you send a form to obtain our service, and only for that purpose (Article 6 of the Law and Article 2 of its Executive Regulations). If a contract is signed, we also process it to perform the contract, and where a legal obligation requires it.
05 How long we keep it
- A request that does not become a contract: 24 months from the last contact, then it is deleted.
- Customers with a contract: for the term of the contract, and afterwards for the periods required by the laws that apply to us.
- The language cookie: 12 months.
We do not keep personal data longer than the purpose requires (Article 3 of the Law).
06 Who sees your data
- The sales team and the technicians who handle your request, and no one else in the company.
- Technical service providers who run the website for us, such as hosting and email, on our written instructions and only as far as needed.
- Official authorities, where required by law or by a court order.
We do not sell, rent or exchange your data for marketing purposes.
07 Transfers outside Egypt
Some technical service providers, such as email or hosting, may be located outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any such transfer will only take place in accordance with Articles 14 to 16 of the Law, its Executive Regulations and the licences of the Personal Data Protection Center, and only to a destination that offers a level of protection not lower than the one the Law requires. We will add the names and locations of these providers to this page once they are confirmed.
08 How we protect it
We take the technical and organisational measures needed to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including sending it over an encrypted connection and limiting access to the staff concerned.
If a breach of your personal data occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Center within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and notify you within three working days of that notification, telling you what we have done (Article 7 of the Law).
09 Your rights
Under Article 2 of the Law, you have the right to:
- Know about, access or obtain your personal data that we hold.
- Withdraw the consent you gave earlier.
- Ask for your data to be corrected, changed, deleted, added to or updated.
- Restrict processing to a specific scope.
- Be notified of any breach of your personal data.
- Object to the processing of your data if it conflicts with your fundamental rights and freedoms.
10 Cookies
The website uses one cookie only: pll_language, which remembers the language you browse in, for 12 months. It is needed for the website to work.
We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. If we add any in the future, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where required.
11 Children's data
This website is meant for adults: building owners, companies, engineers and building managers. We do not knowingly collect data about children under 18. The Law treats children’s data as sensitive data (Article 1) that needs a parent’s or guardian’s consent (Article 12); if we learn that such data was sent to us, we will delete it.
12 Links to other websites
Some links take you to other services, such as Google Maps or WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our website.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the law or our services change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
The Arabic version of this policy is the authoritative one; the English version is a translation.
